Apple Health and Oura
Connect Apple Health, Oura, or both. Hammr merges sources so Oura users don’t show empty recovery.
Hammr is iOS only. Wearable data comes from Apple Health (Apple Watch and Health app) and Oura Ring via OAuth. You can use either or both.
Connect Apple Health
- During onboarding, or later in Settings → Connected Devices, connect Apple Health.
- Grant read/write scopes Hammr requests.
Hammr reads heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, steps, active energy, workouts, SpO2, respiratory rate, wrist temperature, and optional nutrition.
Hammr writes completed workouts, active calories, meals, water, body weight, and mindful sessions. The in-app Apple Health dashboard shows rings, recent workouts, and heart/sleep summaries.
Connect Oura
- Open Connected Devices.
- Connect Oura and complete OAuth.
- Oura readiness, sleep, and activity sync into Hammr. The Oura dashboard shows longer views with recovery, stress, and sleep cards.
Pick a merge priority
When both are connected, choose:
- Apple first, Oura fills gaps
- Oura first, Apple fills gaps
- Apple only
- Oura only
Each metric can show which source supplied it. Most Oura-only users should not leave Oura writing to Health while Hammr only reads Health — that used to look like empty HRV. Hammr now merges directly. Details: How Health data is merged.
