Readiness & Recovery

Readiness Score

Readiness combines recovery, training load, morning check-in, and nutrition adherence into one forward-looking report card.

What readiness measures

Readiness answers: am I ready to train hard today? It is forward-looking, combining overnight recovery about 50%, muscle freshness and ACWR about 20%, training load about 15%, morning check-in about 10%, and nutrition adherence about 5%.

Missing data will not tank your score — components with data fill in and sparse days use conservative estimates.

Score bands

Excellent at 85 or above means primed to push hard. Good from 70 to 84 is solid — train normally. Fair from 55 to 69 suggests some fatigue — consider dialing back. Poor below 55 means recovery first.

You can have high Recovery but lower Readiness if training load has been heavy or check-in reports soreness.

What readiness drives

Readiness feeds the daily Adaptive Decision for macro targets and workout volume guidance. Home daily brief translates readiness into plain-language coaching. Workout Coach intensity recommends Increase, Maintain, Reduce, or Rest. AI Coach uses readiness as context in chat.

Without a wearable, check-in and training load still contribute; recovery may use a fallback around 75 Good. Scores become more personalized after about seven nights of wearable data.
