Workouts
Outdoor GPS Cardio
Track outdoor activities with live maps, heart rate zones, and session scoring. GPS is used only during active outdoor sessions.
Activity tracking
From the Workouts tab Outdoor sub-tab, select run, walk, hike, cycle, or other. Start tracking to see a live map with route polyline, pace, distance, and duration. Pause and resume as needed; recording continues with background location when the screen is off.
End a session for a summary with map, stats, and Hammr Score. History lives in Run History with full map replay. Share route map cards or stats cards to social media.
Scoring
Hammr Score grades each session from 0 to 100, blending distance up to 40 points at 10 km, pace efficiency up to 30 points, and time in heart rate zones 3 through 5 up to 30 points.
Hammr Cardio Score is a rolling average of recent session scores over the last 30 days up to 20 runs, shown on the Workouts tab and Cardio Score History. Fitness and Freshness use Banister-style fitness and fatigue from daily relative effort.
Location and privacy
Hammr collects precise GPS only during active outdoor run, walk, hike, or cycle tracking, including background location while a session is active. GPS is not used for strength workouts and is not sold to third parties.
Outdoor cardio shares context with lifting and nutrition in one account — your cardio effort can affect tomorrow's readiness without opening a separate running app.
Hammr is available on iOS with Apple Watch support.
Hammr Fitness is for wellness and fitness purposes only. It is not medical advice. Consult a physician before starting any exercise or nutrition program. If you have a medical emergency, call emergency services.
